Local projects we have running now are:
"Groceries For The Day"
Groceries for those struggling to meet food needs.
We are collecting can goods and nonperishable items...
if you would like to help with this
project and are not local, you can still help,
by asking friends to donate $1.00, collect it and
either forward cash through paypal or send a gift card that can be used to
purchase these needed items locally.
"Gift Cards For Our Military Women"
We are collecting $10.00 Gift cards (wal-mart, target, etc)
that will be put in cards to be sent to children of our military Mom's,
who are serving us overseas on their child's Birthday.
Let our children not be forgotten on their special day.
This is our way of letting our military Mom's
know that we honor their service, and
understand the important moments they are missing in their life.
"$7.00 Project"
Is one we have been running for over a year,
and will continue through out the year.
This project is to help low income, or struggling families
pay electric and heating bills, or purchase needed medication.
Why $7.00..that is a dollar a day for one week,
that most will not miss, by giving up that extra cup of coffee or candy bar.
Yet with that $7.00 we have been able to do great
things for those less fortunate, and help make their lifes a little easier.
We have had great support for this, by young HS girls,
who have held bake sales..bagged groceries..
given their babysitting money..all for helping others.
These will be our strong women of tommorrow!
Other projects will be added as we continue on this journey
of "Women Helping Women".
So please check back. Even if you can not help, please pass
along our website. That could be your way of helping, just
by giving others who can the opportunity.
